His artistic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Government College of Art and Craft, Agartala, followed by a Masters in Visual Arts from University of Kalyani, West Bengal. Inspired by the vibrant colours and intricate details of his surroundings, his artwork resonates with introspective societal observations and the vastness of nature. He has-had the privilege of participating in numerous exhibitions, workshops, and art residencies across India, where he’s had the opportunity to showcase his dynamic artistic vision. His commitment to refining his craft and exploring new avenues of expression in the contemporary art scene drives him to continually evolve as an artist.

Chayan Das Thakur is a distinguished painting artist hailing from West Bengal, India. As a founding member of Motile Art since 2019, he has been actively contributing to the contemporary art scene. Chayan’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Burdwan University and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from Kalyani University, which have significantly shaped his artistic skills and vision.

Currently, Chayan serves as a Fine Art Teacher at Kendriya Vidyalaya, where he inspires and mentors young artists. His role as an educator complements his practice as an artist, allowing him to continuously evolve in his craft while nurturing the next generation of artists. Chayan’s works are known for their vivid expression and profound themes, reflecting his deep engagement with his cultural and social environment.

Susanta Mistri is a practicing artist based in Kolkata. He completed his MFA from the University of Kalyani in 2020 and his BFA in painting from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya in 2017. After that, he joined Lalit Kala Academy Regional Centre, Kolkata as a practicing artist for two years.

He belongs to a carpentry family in South 24 Parganas. His family and his upbringing have heavily influenced his practice. His works are, primarily, about documenting his surroundings, the emotional and shared, and the experience of the society we live in.

Susanta currently lives and practices in Vadodara, Gujarat.

PursuedB.F.A. from the College of Visual Art, Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya, and an M.F.A. from Govt. College of Art and Craft (Kolkata), Calcutta University. His work received recognition from the Indian Society of Oriental Art and a scholarship from the S. D. Ahuja Foundation and his achievements include participating in numerous prestigious exhibitions, handling museum objects, and attending workshops that have enriched his artistic journey. Currently, showcasing works at various exhibitions, including the ongoing 57th Annual Exhibition of Birla Academy of Art and Culture.”
