Ranjini Chatterjee’s practice moves fluidly between graphic design, animation, publication design, and contemporary art, bridging commercial visual communication with socially engaged inquiry. Her mixed-media collage work explores complex themes such as social dynamics, personal identity, feminism, and re-imagined histories through experimental processes, juxtaposing digital resources, and analogue materials. She is drawn to the physicality of collage and its ability to transform fragments into new visual meanings, allowing materials to move beyond their original context and challenge the symbols and stereotypes once attached to them. Collage is both a curatorial and creative act to Ranjini — a way of shaping, questioning, and connecting with the world. Her international experiences and engagement with diverse artistic communities have deepened her interest in culture, connection, and exchange. This curiosity has led to her new venture Collage & Culture, an evolving platform for artists and culture seekers to explore interconnection through visual storytelling. Through this initiative, she envisions building a global community rooted in knowledge sharing, collective research, and the celebration of diverse ways of seeing and making.
